The Kaohsiung Harbor is a multi-functional, international harbor, utilized for military affairs, industry,commerce and fishing. The harbor consists of the Commercial Port Area of Penglai, Yencheng, Lingya, Chungtao（Container Terminal No. 1）, Chienchen (Container Terminal No.2), Hsiaokang (Container Terminal No.3), Chunghsing (Container Terminal No.4),Tajen (Container Terminal No.5), and Talin (Container Terminal No.6). In addition, the Kaohsiung Harbor has auxiliary ports of Anping, Putai, and Makung. Today, the Kaohsiung Harbor is the largest commercial port in Taiwan and ranks among the world’s largest container terminals.
